We are controlled by time.
While writing is solitary, it helps to know that others go through the same. That we try to learn and expand our comfort zones at the same time. That’s what blog challenges mean to me.
Kürtős kalács. It’s impossible for me to translate this typical Hungarian sweet that is still made by hand. Loved by kids, adults, elderly, it’s a traditional dish that made it into the 21st century.
It’s become a popular street food but it used to be made for big celebrations: weddings, baptism, important guests. So when you do eat one, taste the honoured welcome of the Hungarian foremothers. And enjoy!
